Does anyone know of a Canadian merchant provider that would allow me to hook-up my own credit card machine (bought second hand)? I am hoping to avoid the monthly rental fees and cut my banking charges.

I have been operating an online business for the past 2 years and have been using a virtual terminal for all my transactions. I’ve been recently offered the opportunity to open a small kiosk and will be using a POS terminal. I still intend to keep my online business but would like to sync both my virtual and POS. Is this a possibility or will I need to open a separate merchant account for the kiosk?

I am shopping around for a new merchant provider after the awful experience I had with my former one. The problem is that I had bought my POS terminal out right and am now stuck with the dilemma of not being able to use my existing terminal with a new provider. Is there a merchant provider that will convert my exiting software to their’s so I can use my own terminal?

Why are so many merchant providers phasing out manual imprinters? I run a pop-up shop and had found that getting a POS terminal just wasn’t cost effective for my business. But, I still wanted to be able to take credit card transactions. The “knuckle busters” were the perfect solution but, besides getting them through a bank, they’re next to impossible to locate.
