Can International merchants get a merchant account based in Canada?

   Yes, international merchants can apply for Canadian merchant accounts. You will require the business to also be registered to operate in Canada and a Canada business bank account opened.

   If you’re only looking to process in CDN dollars and not actually looking to register the business in Canada, you’re better off to go to your current acquirer and inquire about setting up a CAD merchant account.
